When you feel like you can’t trust your smile anymore, it’s time to give us a call at (503) 967-0877, to setup a no obligation consultation to see what you could look like with porcelain veneers.
What are dental veneers?Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that we use to brighten a smile that has seen better days. They act as the new front of your teeth by slipping over your natural teeth. Using dental veneers, we are able to give you the smile you have always dreamed of.
What issues can veneers fix? When it comes to your anterior (front) teeth, porcelain veneers are able to fix a huge variety of issues. Let’s say that you have always enjoyed your smile but as the years pass it’s just starting to show signs of wear and tear. Maybe they are starting to lose their once stunningly white sheen. Often chips and cracks begin to show up as the years pass. No problem, porcelain veneers can give you your pristine, white smile back!
Maybe the issues you have with your teeth aren’t just the color and the occasional chip or crack. If your teeth are too crowded or too far apart, veneers can bring them to the perfect spacing. What if your teeth are crooked or misshapen? Veneers can handle crooked and misshapen front teeth with no issues. Even teeth that are too large or too small can be addressed with the help of porcelain veneers.
Not sure if veneers are right for you? At Fairmount Dental Center, we offer Lunineers as an alternative to veneers. There are some major differences between veneers and Lumineers.
How long do porcelain veneers last?As with almost all dental work, you can expect porcelain veneers to last a long time as long as your treat them properly. In order to assure that your veneers will last a long time, make sure to do the following:
What is it like to have them placed? To have veneers placed usually takes two visits. The teeth are prepare with some reshaping and buffing. Once the teeth have been prepared to receive the veneers we will take an impression of them. We will also choose the appropriate shade of white for the veneers to be crafted.
On the second visit to our office we will place the veneers on your teeth and set them in place with a permanent dental cement.
